Scholarship Opportunities for BSF Students

A scholarship is an award of financial aid for a student to further his or her post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded based upon various criteria, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award. Scholarship money is not required to be repaid.

All of the scholarships listed below are named to honor a key figure in The Villages Charter School or to honor family and loved ones. All utilize the Buffalo Scholarship Foundation common application. The Buffalo Scholarship Foundation shall determine eligibility of a graduating Villages High School senior student and award a scholarship. The award and amount of all scholarships will be determined by the Foundation, in its sole discretion. To qualify, the student must attend a post-secondary institution approved by the Foundation and be a full-time student for two consecutive semesters within the first two years following his or her graduation. Failure to use the funds within the first two years following graduation or failure to comply with any other requirement shall result in forfeiture of the remaining funds to the Foundation. All scholarship money will be deposited directly with the “qualified institution”.

Buffalo Promise

In 2016, the Buffalo Scholarship Foundation made a pledge to award every graduating senior a post-secondary scholarship. After six years of dedication and planning, we have made this dream a reality with the Buffalo Promise.

Students who graduate from the Villages Charter School receive a strong foundational education powered by a set of fundamental core values, yet we know this is just the start of their life’s journey. With the Buffalo Promise, our goal is to make sure those students who wish to continue their growth in education have the path and ability to pursue their dreams.
